Installation in the Czech Republic
Wavebreaker AB has started the installation of the first order. The assembly of the modules is done on a new noise barrier made of aluminium elements between steel pillars next to a high-traffic railway corridor designed for 200 km/h. 1st order for homologation in the Czech Republic
Wavebreaker AB has received the first ever contract by the Czech national railway authority, Správa železnic, s.o. This order shows a great interest in the Czech Republic for new innovative solutions such as Wavebreaker, which uses noise-cancelling technology for traffic noise. The purpose of the contract is to start up a certification process with the aim of being approved for usage in the Czech railway network.

Nordic Rail 10-12 October, Jönköping

Tests in Norway
In cooperation with Bane NOR (Norway) we are currently carrying out an acoustic test project in Drammen. The noise wall is a wooden wall from the 80's/90's with one absorbing side. It took 2 workers 8 hours to install 75 m of Wavebreaker - and that with only handtools!
The track is trafficked by both passenger and freight trains. The test project takes place during the autumn and will evaluate the difference wo/w Wavebreaker at the same positions.

DAGA 2023 in Hamburg 6-9 March
We welcome all German acousticians to visit our booth at the DAGA 2023 conference where we will exhibit for the first time. DAGA 2023 is organized mainly by the German Acoustical Society (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Akustik, DEGA) and will take place at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH).

Long-distance noise reduction
A new noise reduction report for the long-distance effect of Wavebreaker is now available. The report evaluates the efficiency of the Wavebreaker attachment to a noise barrier using acoustic FE-program Actran. The study is conducted to evaluate Wavebreaker’s performance for different source-receiver spatial combinations at long distances.

100% recycled material
From 2023 we can offer Wavebreaker in 100% recycled material. The development in plastic materials and production is constantly improving with the possibility to produce our modules in an even more environmental-friendly way, keeping our demands on durability, strength and longevity on the same high level.
Our production and sourcing of raw materials are as before European-based.

Pilot project in the Czech Republic
In cooperation with the Czech National Railway Administration noise measurements by an accredited acoustic laboratory will be made over a period of 2 months. Wavebreaker is installed along the intercity railway between Prague and Dresden with approx. 90 passenger and 15 freight trains every day.
The test site has attracted several visitors among others members of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

InnoTrans 2022 in Berlin - exhibition
250 world premiere innovations will be presented at InnoTrans 20-23 September in Berlin – and Wavebreaker is one of them!
InnoTrans 2022 railway fair will attract more than 150000 people visiting about 2800 exhibitors from 56 countries in 42 halls of 200000 sqm in total. Impressive numbers.

Wavebreaker AB receives a grant of SEK 900,000 from Vinnova for the next step in the development of the innovative noise damper for train noise. The project was considered to meet all criteria such as relevance, potential, feasibility and team to a great extent. The product, which contributes to sustainable social development, is planned to reach the market by 2021.

As one of 55 applications, Wavebreaker AB has been awarded a grant in InfraSweden2030's and Vinnova's innovation program. In the project, the patent pending noise reducer will be verified in the field together with the customer.
